Dolores Newsuan who has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has attended Law School. spoke on the Challenges of Entrepreneurship. Ms. Newsuan took us through her incredible journey from starting up her first company with a $3,000.00 investment to her current roll as President and CEO of the Yelo Group and Associates, a Management Consulting group in Washington DC.
Ms. Newsuan is a former White House appointee. She served as Director of Congressional Affairs for the Department of Commerce in the Minority Business Development Agency and assisted the Secretary of Commerce with small business legislation in The US Congress, ensuring a harmonious relation between the Dept. of Commerce and Congress. She served as Director of Congressional Affairs for the Department of Commerce in the Minority Business Development Agency and assisted the Secretary of Commerce with small business legislation in The US Congress, ensuring a harmonious relation between the Dept. of Commerce and Congress.
After leaving government service, her first business was a striving healthcare staffing company which grew into an international enterprise with healthcare professionals in over five states with clients in the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans affair and several school districts. The company is now an international recruiting firm. Her team of lawyers, and international recruiting companies identifies, screens and hires highly specialized healthcare professionals around the globe.
Ms. Newsuan is also founder and Chairman of the Small Business Action Network. A Political Action Committee that represents the interest of the small businesses in Washington DC. Her experience as an influence maker on Capitol Hill has provided her with extensive knowledge of the most intricate inner operations of the most intricate inner operations of the US Congressional legislative process which has earned her the reputation of one of the most skilled legislative professionals in the industry.
In her discussing her experiences with the audience, she stressed thinking outside the box and believing in your own abilities. She answered many questions on her the events in her life.The discussion was very uplifting as she encouraged everyone to always think of the possibilities!

First Public Meeting May 2014
We had our first open-to-the -public meeting in May at the El Andariego Restaurant in Ashton Maryland. Our little group more than doubled. The food was delicious, The speaker was inspiring and, as always, the discussion was lively.

Second Planning Meeting
The second meeting was held at the home of Sam and Pat Fenati as was the first meeting. At this meeting we continued the discussions we had in the first meeting and planned for a meeting where we could invite more people and we decided to look for a speaker.
